How much does the service cost?
We accept certain insurance plans. If we don't accept your insurance plan, we offer a discounted rate of $95 per consultation with our board-certified dermatologists. Our service is a qualified expense for health savings accounts (HSAs).
How do I pay for the service?
We will bill your insurance for the accepted insurance plans. For self-pay, paying is simple and will be done at the time of your visit. Direct Dermatology accepts major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover).
Does Direct Dermatology accept my insurance?
Yes, we do accept certain insurance plans who have contracted with us to provide you with coverage of this service.
Can I pay for the service with my health savings account (HSA)?
Yes, this service is a qualified medical expense for HSA accounts. We provide a receipt that you can keep for your records.
Are my prescriptions covered by my drug prescription plan?
Yes, all prescription medicines that we prescribe will be eligible for reimbursement through the drug prescription part of your medical insurance. We make all efforts to prescribe medicines that are on your insurance formulary list and recommend affordable over-the-counter medications. If a prescribed treatment is not covered by your medical insurance, please contact us to prescribe an alternative medicine.
Will I get a refund if the Dermatologist cannot help me with my skin problem?
Our dermatologists can diagnose and manage your skin problem online. However, there will be cases when our dermatologist feels that it is best for you to have a follow-up appointment with a dermatologist face-to-face. In such circumstances, you will still be responsible for the consultation fee.
